From Passion to Precision:
Manuel Bryan Arsenio’s Journey from SVP to the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
“SVP gave me more than just an education. SVP taught me how to find balance, think critically, and pursue my passions with purpose. The experiences and support I found there laid the foundation for everything I’m achieving today.”
Since I was young, I’ve always been captivated by aircraft, automotive engineering, and racecars. This lifelong passion, combined with my strength in mathematics and physics, naturally led me to pursue mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering. For me, Germany was the obvious choice. A country with a deep history in engineering and a reputation for constant innovation. The decision to study at the Technical University of Munich was driven by its status as one of the top engineering schools in the world, renowned for its connections with companies such as Google, Airbus, BMW, Porsche, and Audi.

Looking back at my highschool days, I realize how much SVP shaped who I am today. Extracurricular activities like football, basketball, and the mathematics and physics club helped me maintain a healthy balance between academics and my personal interests. But what really prepared me for university was the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The IB taught me to think critically, manage my time effectively, and focus on subjects I was genuinely passionate about.
One of the most impactful experiences during my years in SVP was Career Day. It was an eye-opener, giving me a chance to hear directly from professionals with experience in the industries I want to join. Their stories and advice were invaluable in shaping my career path.
To those of you still navigating your high school journey in SVP, here’s my advice: enjoy the ride, even during the stressful days. Embrace the learning, soak up all the knowledge from your teachers, and start planning for university early. Do your research, and don’t be afraid to reach out to alumni already studying at the universities you’re aiming for, they can offer insights you won’t find online. For those of you who want to have the same benefits as I did back in SVP, I am totally convinced that SVP will set you up for a bright future, just as SVP did for me.
