Path of Innovation and Freedom:

Rafael Rivero’s Journey from SVP to a Future of Technological Advancement

“Success is built on dedication, stepping out of your comfort zone, and the unwavering support of those who believe in you.”

With a clear vision of advancing the world through cutting-edge technologies, I am dedicated to improving our lives and achieving financial and time freedom as a reward for me to enjoy moments with my family and loved ones. Graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China and the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Robotics and Autonomous Systems was just the stepping stone to make these aspirations a reality. My current role as an engineer at Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division involves working on self-driving vehicle technology, a field that perfectly aligns with my passion for innovation.
Reflecting on my time at SVP, I realize how it profoundly shaped my path. Beyond academic knowledge, SVP taught me crucial skills such as professional research and citation, creating compelling presentations, and speaking confidently on stage. These skills are essential in today’s academic and professional landscape, and they have equipped me to face challenges head-on.

Among my fondest memories at SVP are the vibrant house meetings, where I enjoyed playing various sports with my friends and performing as a violinist in SVP’s orchestra. The day-to-day classes were hands-on and engaging, fostering an environment where I could thrive. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to build a network of talented and smart individuals during my time at SVP.
