Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Action is our initiative to integrate the seventeen goals into our teaching and learning practices. Our aim is to deepen students’ understanding of sustainability and environmental stewardship through real-world experiences.
Observing Sustainable Efforts
The journey began with an insightful exploration of green spaces and sustainability initiatives in Jakarta. Through the SDG in action program, students observed various examples aimed at improving urban environments and promoting eco-friendly practices. This initial phase of the trip provided a valuable context for their subsequent activities, setting the stage for a deeper dive into hands-on conservation efforts.

Recycling waste management
At Bumi Macakai, students took part in practical activities centered on conservation and sustainable living. They engaged in projects that highlighted the importance of protecting natural resources and adopting eco-friendly practices. The visit concluded with an interactive session on waste management and recycling at Sampangan, where students explored innovative approaches to sustainability. The comprehensive SDG in Action program offered a valuable learning experience, blending observation with active participation and reflection.
